SIMULAPro© wins approval of Accademia Nautica dell’Adriatico

Joint development with TRAINing Srl, has been selected by Accademia Nautica dell’Adriatico as their preferred simulator training solution.

We are delighted to announce that SIMULAPro©, our joint development with Italian rail training experts TRAINing Srl, has been selected by Accademia Nautica dell’Adriatico as their preferred simulator training solution.

Students studying for a career in the Italian rail industry are now able to practice rules-based  driving procedures selected individually or assigned by their instructors. The tablet-based simulators provide Accademia Nautica dell’Adriatico with an entirely flexible solution that can accommodate teaching multiple students simultaneously.

SIMULAPro©, offers students a wide library of focused simulation sessions based on normal and degraded operating conditions. Each scenario is aligned with specific rules-based procedures and includes a virtual On-Train Data Recorder (ODTR) that captures and automatically reports the students’ performance to the assessor for review.

Giuseppe Alfonso Cassino (CEO TRAINing) said. ‘We are particularly proud to have been awarded the supply of SIMULAPro© in the tender launched by the Accademia Nautica dell’Adriatico. The result repays us for our commitment to product innovation, which required investment in cutting-edge technology, which is increasingly necessary today to train future Italian professionals in the railway sector”.

Brendan Morris (CEO Denova) commented “The joint development of SIMULAPro©, with TRAINing Srl is a growing success with Italian rail operators and having it recognised in the higher education sector confirms its value as a competitive simulator technology that will help attract and train much needed new talent into the industry. We are looking forward to replicating the model in the rest of Europe and the UK

Paola Catalano (Educational Manager of Accademia Nautica dell’Adriatico) commented: “The simulator SIMULAPro©. represents an important added value for a specialized and highly qualified training that aims to be increasingly innovative, up-to-date, competitive and challenging”.
